Kenneth Oravetz received his PhD in Literature from Northeastern University in Boston, MA in 2023, and his BA in English from UC Santa Barbara in 2016. As the full-time Lecturer and Coordinator of Critical Text Analysis, Kenneth seeks to use his background in undergraduate writing pedagogy, multimodal rhetoric, literary studies, and English tutoring to help students from all walks of life thrive. Kenneth’s PhD research focused on investigating contemporary media culture, materiality, and reading practices through the study of graphic novels and hands-on printmaking. Kenneth continues his investment in those areas through bringing multimodal reading and media studies into the Critical Text Analysis classroom, through involvement with the Albuquerque small press and comics communities, and through continued research. In his free time, Kenneth enjoys hiking, attending concerts, and cooking new recipes.
